Tyler/Smith County Scholarship Endowment

The Tyler/Smith County scholarship was established in 2000 with the funds generated by a Tyler/Smith County Alumni fundraiser. The plan was to grow the corpus of the endowment to a minimum of $100,000. The original donors wanted to encourage students from the Tyler/Smith County area to complete their undergraduate degrees. An option was included for the scholarship to be renewable allowing scholarship recipients to have assistance for more than one academic year.
