Third Floor Photography Endowment

  • The student must be a declared photo major with at least one year left in school.
  • Entering freshman or transfer students are eligible at the discretion of the photography faculty and available funds.
  • Recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in Photography.
  • Recipients are required to submit a portfolio of a minimum of five images and a maximum of ten images.
  • Images should be a minimum of 680×1024 and file size should be no larger than 3 megabytes.
  • Service to the photography program will be considered.
  • Membership in the Third Floor Photo society will be considered, but is not mandatory.
  • Full-time photography faculty will select the recipients.
  • Special Projects: At such time, the endowment is able to award $10,000 per year or more the full-time photography faculty may elect to use any funds in excess of $10,000 to purchase supplies, equipment, or fund special projects by the students and/or faculty.
  • All decisions concerning this endowment require the vote of all current full-time photography faculty.
  • Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient via e-mail and newspapers.
  • If the scholarship offer is at least $1,000 and you are not a Texas resident, this scholarship will waive non-resident tuition charges. The non-resident tuition waiver will not be received in cash; however, an adjustment will be made to your tuition bill.
  • The scholarship will be credited to my student account 10-days prior to the start of each semester.
  • Failure to meet these requirements may cause my scholarship to be revoked.
  • Scholarship is non-renewable.
