The recipient of any scholarship provided by the fund shall be a full-time student in good standing pursuing a degree from the Department of Music. Scholarship recipient shall be classified as either a junior or senior.
Recipient shall be a music education major planning to teach at the elementary level.
The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and must maintain this GPA to be eligible for the scholarship in the spring semester.
The recipient of this scholarship must demonstrate a financial need.
To receive the scholarship, the recipient must be nominated by the elementary music specialist on the music faculty and approved by the entire faculty.
Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient via e-mail and newspapers.
If the scholarship offer is at least $1,000 and you are not a Texas resident, this scholarship will waive non-resident tuition charges. The non-resident tuition waiver will not be received in cash; however, an adjustment will be made to your tuition bill.
The scholarship will be credited to my student account 10-days prior to the start of each semester.
Failure to meet these requirements may cause my scholarship to be revoked.
Scholarship is non-renewable.
