Student Teaching for Music Excellence

  • Be a full-time student, in good academic standing, pursuing teacher certification in Music Education.
  • Scholarship to be awarded during their internship and/or residency. The scholarship can be paid in a single semester or split between Fall and Spring, depending on the student’s internship/residency schedule.
  • If there are no eligible candidates (based on criteria statements 1 and 2), then any full-time student pursuing any undergraduate Music Degree, in good academic standing, is eligible to receive the scholarship.
  • Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
  • Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
  • This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
