The Rivers Chamorro Scholarship

1. Be an undergraduate student, in good academic standing, with a declared major in the College of Business.
2. Be a first-generation college student from a historically under-served student population, including international students.
3. Create a “Video of Awesomeness” (not to exceed 3 minutes) that answers the following questions:
a. What makes you awesome? Think about sharing something personal that makes you worthy of this scholarship so we can get to know you more for who you are.
b. When you graduate and go on to do bigger things, how do you plan to give back to others?
When applying for the scholarship, the applicant will provide a link to their video for the scholarship committee to review.
4. Preference will be given to students participating in Venture College.
5. The scholarship award shall be $1,000, awarded

• Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
• Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
• This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
