James O'Neil Faires and Dee Taylor Faires Scholarship

• The recipient shall be pursuing a degree from the College of Business or the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, or the department of Psychology, Counseling & Special Education.
• The recipient must demonstrate academic ability by maintaining a 3.25 GPA.
• The general application essay questions shall be used by the committee to aid in their final decision. Students who do not fill out the general application essay questions are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
• Preference shall be given to veterans.
• Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
• Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
• This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
