Recipient(s) shall be doctoral students in the educational administration program, who are either in the residency years (enrolled in 6 or more graduate hours of credit) or working satisfactorily toward their dissertation completion.
Recipient(s) must maintain a 3.6 GPA on their doctoral work (proposal should have been approved in this case).
The student should be a public school teacher or administrator (possibly on leave during their residency).
Should no applicants be available during a given year the scholarship should be made to a worthy masters degree student (enrolled in 6 hours) applicant with at least 15 hours completed toward their masters degree in educational administration and a similar GPA as above.
In either case, the department should recommend any potential applicants based on their scholarship and their character.
Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
