Tigert-Davis Family Fund
1. Be a graduate of a public high school in one of the following Texas counties: Fannin, Morris, Hunt, Lamar, or Lubbock. With preference given to graduates of Honey Grove High School (Honey Grove ISO) and Paul H. Pewitt High School (Pewitt Consolidated ISO).
2. The student must have a declared major in a program of study leading to a degree or certificate. The recipient is eligible to receive the scholarship more than once and must re-apply to be considered.
3. The general application essay questions shall be used by the committee to aid in their final decision. Students who do not fill out the general application essay questions are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
4. The minimum scholarship award shall be $1000, split evenly between the Fall and Spring semesters.
5. The applicant shall write a thank you note to the donors upon receipt of the scholarship.
- Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
- Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
- This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
