Must maintain a 3.25 GPA in the sciences and should be classified as a sophomore or junior student when the scholarship is received. Due to the timing of the scholarship application cycle,freshmen are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Preference will be given to students participating in research projects
Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. The letter of recommendation should include verification of the student’s involvement with research (when applicable).
The scholarship shall be a one-time award of $1,000.
Priority will be given to first-time applicants; however, past recipients may re-apply for this scholarship.
Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
