James Clyde & Patsie Swain Caperton Legacy Scholarship Endowment
Recipient must be a U.S. Citizen with highest preference to students from the Van, Commerce or Brazosport, Texas school systems.
Recipient must be majoring in Science with an education minor (LeoTeach) OR majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education).
This scholarship is open to undergraduate applicants must be entering their Junior OR Senior year of studies when the scholarship is paid.
Recipient must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to the qualified student with the highest GPA-with those students hailing fromthe above listed school systems being given the highest priority.
A single scholarship is to be awarded annually.
Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
