Dr. Joanne Olivard Foundation Scholarship Endowment

  • Recipient must be a student who graduated from a Delta, Fannin or Lamar County high school or homeschool. The recipient must have attended school in one of these counties during their Junior and Senior years of high school.
  • The student must have completed 60 hours of college credits with preference given to a transfer student.
    *Recipient must be a full-time student (12 hrs. for undergrad; 9 hrs. for graduate)
  • Recipient must have a declared major in one of the following fields: Agriculture, Science, Nursing, Engineering or Math. Teaching degrees or certifications do not qualify.
  • Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA in their declared major.
  • The scholarship award will be a minimum of $800.
  • Recipient must write a thank-you acknowledgment in appreciation for the scholarship award.
  • The scholarship is renewable; students must reapply each year and continue to meet eligibility requirements to be considered.
  • Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
  • Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
  • This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
