The recipient of any scholarship provided by the fund shall be a full-time student in good standing pursuing a degree from the Department of Music.
Recipients should be classified as a junior, senior, or graduate student when the scholarship is received. Due to the timing of the scholarship application cycle, sophomores are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Recipient shall be a music education major planning to teach at the elementary level.
The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and must maintain this GPA to be eligible for the scholarship in the spring semester.
The recipient of this scholarship must demonstrate a financial need.
Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
