Brookshire Grocery Company Focus on the Future Scholarship

1. Full-time student in good standing with a minimum GP A of 2.5
2. Pursuing a degree applicable to the industry of the Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC). In today’s terms the following majors/ emphasis apply. Over time, the successor
programs for this list will apply. A student pursuing a degree in any one of these is eligible to apply for this scholarship:

• College of Business – any major
• College of Agriculture & Natural Resources
• Agribusiness
• Agricultural Science & Technology – Agriculture Leadership and Communications Emphasis
• Agricultural Science & Technology -Agriculture, Food, and Family Option
• Agricultural Science & Technology- Industry Emphasis
• Agricultural Sciences
• Animal Science
• College of Humanities, Social Sciences & Arts – Communication Studies
• Nursing & Health Sciences – Public Health
• College of Science & Engineering
• Computer Information Systems
• Computer Science
• Industrial Engineering
  3. It is the donor’s intention that all available funds be awarded as long as there are qualified candidates. Minimum scholarship award shall be $1,000.
  4. All reasonable efforts will be made to arrange for the local Brookshire’s (in Commerce Texas) to congratulate the scholarship recipient(s) whether virtually or in person.
• Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
• Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
• This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
