Dr. Elsie Bodemann Memorial Biology Endowment

  • Recipients shall be majoring in biology.
  • Must maintain a 3.25 GPA in the sciences and should be classified as a sophomore or junior student when the scholarship is received. Due to the timing of the scholarship application cycle,freshmen are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Preference will be given to students participating in research projects
  • Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. The letter of recommendation should include verification of the student’s involvement with research (when applicable).
  • The scholarship shall be a one-time award of $1,000.
  • Priority will be given to first-time applicants; however, past recipients may re-apply for this scholarship.
  • Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
  • Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
  • This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
