  • High school graduates from any Texas high school are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
  • Scholarship recipients must complete an application and be enrolled at Texas A&M University-Commerce for a minimum of 12 semester hours.
  • In order for the recipient to continue receiving this scholarship throughout their four years at this university, a GPA of 2.8 must be maintained.
  • Scholarship renewable upon submission of updated application, meeting of eligibility criteria and available funds.
  • This scholarship shall be awarded to the selected recipient for the entirety of their education at this institution, as long as the minimum GPA is maintained.
  • If a fifth year is necessary in order for the student to complete their requirements, this scholarship shall remain in effect.
  • It is the family’s intent that this scholarship shall be awarded to only one student and at the completion of this student’s education, the endowment will draw interest for a year or more before another recipient is selected.
  • The scholarship shall be administered by a scholarship committee comprised of university personnel from the Advancement and Scholarship office.
  • Scholarship recipients will be required to write a thank you note to the donor family.
  • Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
  • Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
  • This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
