Virgil & Barbara Billings Family Endowment

  • Recipients of this scholarship shall be high school seniors from Terrell, Kaufman or Rockwall ISD (Texas ISDs)
  • Preference will be given to a student who has not received multiple scholarships and exhibits a need for financial assistance.
  • Student may major in any discipline or may declare an undecided major.
  • Student must be in good standing and with a GPA of 3.0 or less
  • The general application essay questions shall be used by the committee to aid in ther final decision. Students who do not fill out the general application essay questions are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
  • The scholarship is renewable, depending on available funds. The student must follow the process for renewable scholarship and continue to meet all eligibility requirements in order to be considered.
  • Recipient’s name can be published as a scholarship recipient.
  • Failure to meet the requirements of this scholarship may cause scholarships to be revoked.
  • This scholarship may entitle an out of state resident to the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption as outlined by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Policy on Non-Resident Tuition Exemption for Competitive Scholarship Recipients.
