Paul Rountree
I went to ETSC in 1962…had little money but was able to borrow the 85 dollars for tuition…I graduated in 1965 with a BS in Chemistry/Biology and a third major in English…then went to medical school in Galveston (UTMB) and trained after graduation in Pediatrics, Family Practice and Occupational Medicine. I never thought about establishing a scholarship until visited by Wayne Davenport, who said that y’all were starting a nursing program. I know how much we need nurses and about our shortage in this country. I really think that nursing is a great career and wanted to help with the program at Texas A&M University-Commerce. I lost my mom some years back but thought it would be great to honor her with a scholarship. I am really proud to be able to support this effort. Best, Paul
