An all conference middle linebacker for Texas A&M University – Commerce 1972 National Small Colleges Championship Team, Talbot, after completing a Bachelor of Science degree, entered the insurance business in 1975. After experiencing a short stint as a professional football player with the Toronto Argonaut CFL, he founded and headed a professional athletic agency.

As a full-time life insurance agency/broker/consultant Talbot’s firm has worked with small and large employer groups in the area of employee benefits, tax, insurance and estate planning for the wealthy business owner.

A dedicated family man and devout church participant, Jim is committed to the excellence of quality and professional service.

Talbot has obtained numerous commendations as an insurance and benefit consultant. Some include: Million Dollar Round Table, National Quality Award, and National Sales Achievement Awards and most recently Certified Long Term Care Specialist (CLTC).

His firm, J.P. Talbot Companies has produced and currently continues to service millions of dollars in insurance and benefit premiums.
