Dr. Jimmy D. and Sherroll A. Shirley Endowment

Dr. Shirley is currently employed at Lockheed-Martin Aeronautics, Jimmy D. Shirley works as a Systems Engineer on the Joint Strike Fighter program. Previous to his time at Lockheed-Martin, Shirley served as Assistant Vice President and Manager of White Sands Operations for Pacific-Sierra Research Corporation, and served nine years in Civil Service. Additionally, Shirley worked two years as an exchange lecturer while teaching Military Operations Research at the Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham, England. Additionally, Shirley invented a military Identification Friend or Foe system for protection of friend ground vehicles.

Dr. and Mrs. Shirley started this endowment to help students studying in the sciences receive a college education.
