Devin Oliver & Aubree Butts Memorial Scholarships

Devin Oliver and Aubree Butts were two extraordinary young women who touched the lives of
many, including us at Texas A&M University -Commerce, and left this world far too early. The
1525 Legacy Dinner was inspired by the impact that these young ladies had on their
communities, their teammates. and the University.
As basketball players, Aubree and Devin served as captains for the Lion women’s basketball
team and wore their numbers, 15 and 25, respectfully. Not only were these two ladies standouts
on the hardwood, but they excelled in the classroom and were involved in multiple programs on
campus, including being an orientation leader, a member of the Freshman Leadership Class and
Sophomore Experience, and multiple national honor societies.
